Farmers markets west of Denver: your season guide

Late August is peak market season west of Denver: the days are long, the produce is at its best, and the region's farmers markets are all running at full strength. There's no single "market season" across the nine towns — dates and days differ from town to town — so here's a guide to the markets we've verified against their official sources this season, plus tips to make a market morning count. The verified markets this season

• Boulder County Farmers Market (Boulder) — the flagship runs Saturdays 8 AM–2 PM on 13th Street between Arapahoe Ave and Canyon Blvd, downtown Boulder, roughly April 4 through November 21, 2026. A smaller Wednesday-evening edition runs 3:30–7:30 PM from May 6 through October 7. Free admission, with a sister location in Longmont. (Source: bcfm.org/markets/boulder-farmers-market/)
• Golden Farmers Market (Golden) — Saturdays 8 AM–1 PM at 10th & Illinois, downtown Golden near the library and tennis courts, from May 30 to October 3 this year. The Golden Chamber of Commerce's market is in its 24th season, with produce, artisan foods, drinks, art and clothing. Free. (Source: goldenfarmersmarket.org)
• Arvada Farmers Market (Arvada) — every Sunday 9 AM–1 PM in Olde Town Square at 5702 Olde Wadsworth Blvd, with local produce, food vendors and live music. Free. (Source: arvadafarmersmarket.com)

• Superior Summer Market (Superior) — the Town of Superior's recurring summer market in downtown Superior at 2250 Main St, evenings 5–8 PM with local goods, food and live music; one of the summer's monthly markets running roughly May 20 through September. Make market morning count

• Arrive early for the best pick — the first hour is when produce is fullest and parking easiest at the downtown locations.
• Bring cash and reusable bags; many vendors are small farm stands that prefer cash, and the markets aim to be near-zero waste.
• Check the calendar before you plan — no two towns share the same day or hours, and several series pause at the end of September or in November.
• Pair the market with a walk — the Boulder, Golden and Arvada markets sit in walkable downtowns, so they double as a local morning out.
• Several markets carry live music (notably Superior's Summer Market and the Arvada market) — an easy, free way to linger.
