Business calendar pilot

Your calendar. A clear relationship.

Calendar use and event listings have no fee. We are growing useful calendars and engagement before introducing advertising.

Enter once, update connected calendars

Verified business owners manage their own events. Saved published changes flow into the business page, website embed, updating calendar feed, and regional calendar after a successful site update. Eligible follower emails use those published changes. Updates are requested automatically when you publish; a running build or refresh cooldown can delay them until a later update. The dashboard distinguishes saved changes from publication. Calendar apps control their own feed refresh timing.

We do not automatically post to Facebook, Instagram, or Google Business Profile. Ordinary public organizer submissions continue to require our approval.

Subscribers choose each relationship

A venue subscription is for new and changed events from that named business, at most once a day. Confirmation by email is required. The signup discloses access by West of Denver Events and the named business. Regional newsletter signup is separate and optional. Following a venue does not enroll someone in the regional newsletter or other businesses’ emails.

Venue updates require a valid business mailing address for the email footer. Each email has a venue-specific unsubscribe link. Calendar-feed subscriptions do not share email addresses with us.

Business access and portability

Verified owners can see their own subscriber counts and export their currently confirmed venue subscribers, including consent wording and confirmation dates. They cannot access regional subscribers or another venue’s subscribers. Use exported information only for the updates those subscribers requested, protect it, and honor unsubscribe preferences. Exporting a list does not grant permission to add people to another list.

If you want to close your calendar, request your export first and contact hello@westofdenverevents.com. We can stop venue emails and remove the public calendar. We retain only the subscription and suppression records needed to honor choices and operate the service. We do not sell or rent subscriber lists.

Useful measurements, honest limits

Businesses see aggregate calendar views, embed views, regional event-page views, and event-detail and booking-link clicks. These are actions, not verified unique people, attendance, purchases, or sales. Repeated clicks and some automated requests may be included. We do not build personal browsing profiles for this pilot. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable browser activity counting. Aggregate activity is retained for 90 days; short-lived rate-limit tokens prevent abuse.

The private owner dashboard separates venue subscribers from regional signup activity and shows claimed accounts, recent calendar edits, and owner-reported time saved. We use these measures to decide whether the service is valuable before selling sponsorships.

Ownership, safety, and support

Businesses are responsible for accurate schedules, prices, registration details, availability, and rights to uploaded logos. We verify business access and can pause abusive or misleading calendars. Business autonomy does not authorize spam or inaccurate listings. Contact hello@westofdenverevents.com for access, corrections, or help.
