“Magnificat” features the 18th-century settings of the Magnificat by Telemann, Zelenka, and Bach. This production, using historical performance practice, will illustrate how the composers’ individual interpretations of a single text resulted in works with dramatically different stylistic qualities. The concert showcases Seicento Baroque Ensemble’s talented group of singers, along with featured vocal soloists and an orchestra of period instruments, and is a “must-see” for lovers of Baroque music.
